PLN operates Bukit Carok diesel-fired power plant

State-owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) said that it has started operation of the Bukit Carok diesel-fired power plant, increasing power supply in Tanjung Balai Karimun, Riau Islands Province, by 6 MW.
PLN said in a statement over the weekend that the operation of the Bukit Carok power plant comes following successful reliability run test on January 26-29.
The additional power supply has increase installed capacity in Tanjung Balai Karimun to 28.5 MW, compared to peak load of 24.5 MW, PLN said.
