PLN operates new transformers, builds transmission line in E. Java

State owned electricity company PT PLN inaugurated on Monday the operation of 10 additional transformers in East Java with combined capacity of 340 MVA to help bolster power supply reliability in the region.
PLN said in a statement the transformers are scattered in several areas including
Segoromadu (Gresik), Sumenep, Altaprima (Gresik), Nganjuk, Pare (Kediri), Pier (Pasuruan), Bumicokro (Pasuruan), Ploso (Jombang), Ngoro (Mojokerto), and Tanjung Awar-awar (Tuban).
A ground breaking ceremony was also held in Madura to mark the start of construction of 150 kV high voltage power line linking three substations in Bangkalan, Gilitimur, and Ujung/Kenjeran.
PLN said the 11.5 km power line will increase power supply in the region by 30 percent to 260 MW.
