PLN, PGE to negotiate new price for Kamojang steam

State electricity firm PT PLN (Persero) through its unit PT Indonesia Power and PT Pertamina Geothermal Energi (PGE) will soon conduct negotiation over steam price for Kamojang geothermal power plant as current price contract will expire next year.
Hananto Yogo, GM PT Indonesia Power Kamojang said negotiation is expected to be concluded this year.
PGE sells steam generated from Kamojang geothermal steam plant to Kamojang power plant, which is operated by Indonesia Power with total capacity of 135 MW.
Hananto expected that price will settle in the range of 5.6-6 US cents per kwh of steam. Under the current contract PLN pays PGE 3.5 cents per kwh for steam supplied to Kamojang unit and and 11 cents per kwh for steam supplied to unit 2 and 3.(godang)
