PLN plans 4,500MW of combined cycle power plants in Java

State electricity firm PT PLN (Persero) plans to build three combined cycle power plants each with capacity of 1,500 MW in Java in 2014 with commercial operation targeted in 2017-18.

PLN Planning Director Nasri Sebayang said on Wednesday that the plants? locations, which will be close to gas source, are now being selected.

According to him, the three power plants will require gas supply of 750 MMCFD. He did not say where PLN will get its gas supply from.(giok)
