PLN plans coal-fired power plant in C. Sulawesi

State-owned electricity company PT PLN said it plans to build a 2x50 MW coal-fired power plant in Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi.
PLN Manager for Palu area, Novalince Pamuso was quoted by Kontan.co.id as saying Monday that the company is currently in the process of completing the land acquisition.
He added that the planned power plant will be located in Dalaka Village, Sindue District, about 35 km from Palu, the provincial capital of Central Sulawesi.
While did not disclosing when the project will start, Novalince said the power plant is expected to start commercial operation in 2018 to help resolve the current power shortage in the region.(*)
