PLN plans power transmission line in Sintang

State-owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) is planning to develop a new power transmission line in Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan, amid growing electricity demand in the region.

Yudi Yanto, a manager at PLN Sintang office was quoted by a local media as saying that the company was currently discussing the plan with the local regency administration.

He said that the power transmission line is increasingly necessary in Sintang as new power plants are coming on line in the future to meet growing power demand in a region where supply has been lagging.

No further details were provided about the planned transmission line project. (*)
