PLN: PQ Invitation for coal supply of the commissioning testing and commercial of Tanjung Jati B

TANJUNG JATI B STEAM POWER PLANT EXTENSION (Units 3&4)(2 x 660 MW)INVITATION TO PRE QUALIFICATION for
SUPPLY OF THE COMMISIONING, TESTING AND COMMERCIAL OPERATION COAL
PLN, represented by its internal strategic business unit, PT PLN (PERSERO) PEMBANGKITAN TANJUNG JATI B, Intends to select coal suppliers for the coats used for commissioning and testing and commercial operation of Tanjung Jati B Coal-Fired Power Plant Unit 3&4, located in Central Java, the Republic of Indonesia (?TJB3&4?), and, therefore, invites coal suppliers, who are coal mining companies, registered under the law of the Republic of Indonesia in possession of the necessary coal mining contract arrangement with or a coal mining business license, (?the Applicant?) to participate in the Pre Qualification for the supply of Medium Calorific Value bituminous coal (?MCV Coal?), with an approximate calorific value on a 6ross as Received basis (?CVgar?) of about 5,700 kcal/kg, and rejection limit of 5,400 kcal/kg, for the purpose of commissioning and testing, (Lot-A-1), and commercial operation, (Lot C) at TJB 3&4.
The coal supplier will be selected through a competitive bidding process from a pool of Applicants that meet the pre-qualification criteria set forth in the Pre-Qualification Document.
The selected coal suppliers will be required to supply the coal for:
1 Commissioning and Testing MCV Coal (Lot-A-l): minimum of 600 000 and up to 1 000 000 tons of coal for delivery over a period of approximately twelve (12) months, commencing from March 201i, as the tentative delivery schedule, delivered to TJB 3&4 on CIF basis.
2 Commercial Operation MCV Coal (Lot C): minimum 600,000 tons per annum and up to 2 000 000 tons per annum of coal for delivery over a minimum period of five (5) years, and up to ten (10) years, commencing from August 2011, as the tentative delivery schedule, on an FOB basis, with the option to PLN for delivery to TJB 3&4 on CIF basis.
The coal to be supplied for TJB 3&4 should be proven coal with certain supply records to the existing customers. Detailed requirement and specification will be specified in the Pre- Qualification Document.
Interested companies may obtain more information, and purchase the Pre-Qualification document at the cost of Rp 500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Rupiah) for each Lot A-1 and Lot C at the following address, from 22 January up to and including 28 January 2010, between the hours of 0900-1 500 WIST:
