on Small Hydropower Projects in Indonesia - Part 2
1. PT PLN (Persero) hereby invites qualified independent consultants to submit a prequalification document for consulting services required. Funds have been earmarked for this project by the German bilateral Financial Cooperation, provided through KfW Development Bank.
2. The existing feasibility studies for various small hydropower projects which shall be financed by KfW must be fitted to bankable documents. Therefore, in a first stage PLN wishes to employ a Consultant to review and assess the studies, to define the additional required works and investigations and to point out, which hydropower sites are feasible to be financed under the REEP Programme. The Consultant shall give a time and cost estimate on the additional works and investigations he proposes for each hydropower site. The investigation program shall include measures required to update the hydrological study e.g. by installation of meteorological and gauging stations at the most promising HPP sites.
In a second stage the studies for the feasible hydropower sites shall be updated, revised and additional investigations executed. The two stages of review and revision of the existing feasibility studies will be as further described below. The second stage will comprise the preparation of environmental and social safeguard documents according to the Sustainability Guidelines of the KfW Development Bank and World Bank Environmental and Social Safeguards 0P4.01 and 0P4.12 as well World Bank Group?s General Environmental and Health and Safety Guidelines. The consultancy services shall be carried out in close consultation with PLN and KfW in all aspects of the assignment.
