INVITATION TO PRE-QUALIFICATION
PEUSANGAN 1 & 2 HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT PROJECT
LOT IV: 150KV TRANSMISSION LINE AND SUBSTATION
JICA LOAN No. IP-538
1. The Government of Indonesia (GoI) through its executing agency ?PT PLN (Persero)? has received a loan under the Official Development Assistance (ODA) from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JKA) toward the cost of the captioned project and allocated to Lot IV-l5OkV Transmission Line and Substation is Japanese Yen 1,684million.
2. PT PLN (Persero) intends to pre-qualify International Contractor(s) specializing in transmission line and substation works. The Peusangan 1 & 2 Hydroelectric Power Plant Project Is located in the Aceh Province, and will provide electric power of 88 MW (2x22.5MW and 2x21.5MW) for the power grid of Northern Sumatera. The works will in corporate the construction of 150kV double-circuit transmission line of 78km long from Bireuen and Takengon Substation through Peusangan 1 and 2 Power Stations, and the extension of two bays for the existing Bireuen Substation and the construction of 150/20kV, 30MVA Takengon Substation:

3. Pre-qualification is open to firms and voluntarily formed joint ventures and consortium from eligible countries who have successful previous experience in successful previous experience of at least three (3) transmission line projects and three (3) substation projects in the last fifteen years, at least one (1) project of transmission line and one (1) of substation in successful operation for more than three years in tropical country.
4. The documents ace available for a non refundable fee of Indonesian Rupiah Five Million (Rp.5000.000) and Applicants may obtain the prequalification document from December 8, 2009, within office hours, from the address below:

5. Submission of Applications for Pre-qualification, in one (1) original and three (3) copies, must be received in sealed envelopes or packages, either delivered by hand or by registered mail to the address above not later than January 25, 2010, within office hour, and be clearly marked ?Application to Pre-Qualification for Peusangan 1 & 2 Hydroelectric Power Plant Project Lot IV: 150KV Transmission Line and Substation, JICA Loan No. lP-538?.
6. Applicants will be advised, in due course, of the results of their applications. Only qualified Applicants will be invited to bid.
