SECOND INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION
FOR
THE SEMARANG POWER PLANT
REHABILITATION AND GASIFICATION PROJECT
The Government of Indonesia (GOI) with PT. PLN (Persero) as its executing agency has received an ODA Loan No. IP-516 from JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), in the amount of 7,526 Million Yen excluding the costs of the consulting services and contingencies, towards the cost of the Semarang Power Plant Rehabilitation and
Gasification Project, here in after referred to as the Project. The Project Site is located at Tanjung Mas harbour area, Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia.
PT. PLN (Persero) intends to Prequalify Applicant(s) for a turnkey EPC-Contract for this Project. The Works under this Project comprise engineering design, manufacturing, procurement, commissioning and project management for rehabilitation, gasification, and up-rating Steam Power Plant with an electric power generation capacity of over 200 MW with required general facilities.
Prequalification is open to firms, in the form of an individual company or a Joint Venture/Joint Operation/Consortium. Applicants that have been prequalified will be requested to prepare and submit a proposal for the Contract. A qualified firm or a qualified Joint Venture/ Joint Operation/ Consortium shall participate in only one Bid Proposal.
Appplicants may obtain the Prequalification Document, at the address indicated below between 09.00-15.00 Western Indonesia Standard Time, starting from July 9, 2009, upon cash payment of a non refundable fee of Five Million Rupiah (Rp.5,000,000):
