PLN prepares CNG facilities at three power plants

State owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) has prepared Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) facilities at its three power plants, namely PLTGU Tambak Lorok in Semarang, Central Java, PLTGU Muara Tawar in Bekasi, West Java and PLTGU Bangkanai in Central Kalimantan.

The facility in Tambak Lorok has a capacity of 25 mmscfd and is ready to receive gas from the Gundih block, Suryadi Mardjoeki, PLN?s Gas and Oil Fuel Division Head, said on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the facility in Muara Tawar has a capacity of 25 mmscfd and now operates with 5 mmscfd gas supply. The facility in Bangkanai has a capacity of 20 mmscfd. It will start with 5 mmscfd gas supply and the supply will increase by 5 mmscfd each year, he said.
