PLN President Director Dahlan Iskan to become new Minister for State Enterprises

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has appointed President Director of state utility company PT PLN, Dahlan Iskan, as new Minister for State Owned Enterprise (SOE), replacing Mustafa Abubakar.

Dahlan told reporters at the State Palace after called in by the President that he was sad to leave PLN. ?When I was told (to hold the new post), I cried as I have to leave PLN,? Dahlan told reporters.

Dahlan said the formal announcement for his new position is pending results of his medical test. The President is scheduled to announce the cabinet reshuffle on Tuesday night. (*)
