PLN pulls out from LNG terminal project

State electricity firm PLN has decided to pull out from Jakarta floating LNG receiving terminal project but will stay as offtaker, a government official said on Tuesday.
PLN?s two partners in the project IDX-listed gas distribution firm PGN and state oil, gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero) have agreed to assume PLN?s shares in the project, Director General of Oil and Gas Evita Legowo was quoted by Detik.Com as saying.
The LNG receiving terminal with initial capacity of 1.5MTPA is planned to be operational in 2012 with LNG supplied from Bontang LNG plant in East Kalimantan. (*)
