PLN raises voltage of Bukit Tinggi substation

State owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) announced on Tuesday that it has increased to the voltage of the Padang Luar substation in Bukit Tinggi, West Sumatra province from 20 MVA to 90 MVA.

The Padang Luar substation now has two transformers with voltage of 60 MVA and 30 MVA respectively, PLN?s spokesperson Agung Murdifi said, adding the substation caters customers in Bukit Tinggi city and two regencies: Agam and Pasaman.

Peak load at the substation reaches 33 MW during the day and 41 MW at nighttime.
