PLN: Re-PQ invitation for Teluk Balikpapan and Barru coal fired steam power plants

INVITATION
NOTICE FOR THE PRE-QUALIFICATION OF APPLICANTS
FOR RE-BIDDING THE LEASED COAL FIRED STEAM POWER PLANT TELUK BALIKPAPAN AND BARRU

The Bid of the Leased Coal Fired Steam Power Plant Teluk Balikpapan and Barru has been failed due to out of the regulation. PT PLN (Persero) called PLN? therefore invites the Prospective Applicants to follow Pre-qualification for Re-Bidding of above mentioned project.

PLN intends to select a potential Lessor to develop, finance, construct and operate Coal Fired Steam Power Plant Project with a gross capacity of each project is:

1. 2 x (120-150) MW for CFSPP Teluk Balikpapan, Kalimantan Timur Province
2. 2 x (120-150) MW for CFSPP Barru, Sulawesi Selatan Province

The Project is on a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) basis pursuant to a long-term concession period up to 9 (nine) years.

This Pre-qualification is open to interested party or parties, either domestic or foreign partnership with domestic, who have previous experience in implementing power generation projects and will be selected through a competitive bidding process from a p001 of Applicants that meet the qualification criteria set forth in Pre-Qualification Document. The Qualification Criteria will be based on three categories represent the Applicant?s ability to develop similar projects, its power generation experience and its financial strength.

PLN invites interested parties to submit PQ?s applications in accordance with the criteria set forth in the Pre-Qualification Document. Only Applicants whose Qualification Statements demonstrate that they meet all of the criteria set forth in the Pre-Qualification Document will be invited to submit bids for the Project.

The qualified Applicants who passed the previous pre-qualification process, and confirm not to modify their Consortium members, and have the interest to participate the re-bidding, are not necessary to be pre-qualified. However, the Consortium should, in writing, register and submit their interest in this project not later than October 14, 2011 to participate for the re-bidding, addressed to:

Pre-qualification Document may be collected from September 27-October 7, 2011 at the following hours: 09.00-16.00 West Indonesia Standard Time after payment of a non refundable fee in the amount of Rp 500.000,- (five hundred thousand rupiahs) at the following address:
