PLN ready to pay for LNG from West Java FSRU

State owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) said on Wednesday it was ready to make payment for one cargo of LNG that has been supplied by PT Nusantara Regas to its PLTGU Muara Karang combined cycle power plant in North Jakarta.
?PLN is ready to make payment anytime. The problem is Nusantara insists we have to pay an alpha (margin) that is not in line with the Heads of Agreement (HoA) (that has been signed by PLN and Nusantara). Meanwhile, we stick to the HoA,? Suryadi Mardjoeki, PLN?s Head of Oil Fuel and Gas Division, told Petromindo.com.
He made the statement in response to the one made by Nusantara?s Director of Finance and Administration Sutikno on Tuesday, calling on PLN to soon make payment for the LNG. Nusantara started delivering the regassifed LNG to Muara Karang from West Java FSRU in May this year. The one cargo of LNG worth US$41 million was supplied by the Badak LNG plant in Bontang, East Kalimantan.
Sutino admitted that Nusantara and PLN have yet to reach an agreement on the price of the LNG.
He noted that as a result of the non-payment, Nusantara was now lacking cash to pay for the second cargo of LNG from the Badak LNG plant.
Meanwhile, Director General of Oil and Gas Evita H. Legowo said on Wednesday she would call Nusantara and PLN for a meeting to solve the dispute.
