PLN resumes Maluku geothermal project development

State electricity firm PT PLN (Persero) will resume works at Tulehu geothermal project in Maluku after being halted in 2011.
PLN will drill second well in Tulehu later this month with commercial operation targeted in 2019-20, Yunus Saefulhaq, Geothermal Director at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources told Petromindo.Com on Wednesday.
The plant will have capacity of 2x10 MW, he said.
