PLN?s net profit increases 11.28%

State-owned electricity firm PT PLN saw its net profit last year increased by 11.28 percent to Rp 15.58 trillion from Rp 14 trillion in the previous year, thanks to higher sales and lower cost, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Wednesday.

According to its audited financial report, revenue in 2015 rose by 12 percent to Rp 217.3 trillion.

Operating cost declined by 7 percent following efficiency programs particularly as the company switched from the use of diesel fuel to cheaper fuel products, the paper said. (*)
