PLN's net profit may double to Rp 12t this year

State-owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara said Thursday its net profit may double to Rp 12 trillion (US$=Rp 9,270) this year provided that the government allow it to gain a profit margin of 8 percent.
The firm will allocate Rp 74 trillion for capital expenditure to expand its business and make investments, President Director Dahlan Iskan was quoted by Detik.com as saying.
PLN plans to raise Rp 51 trillion for its capital expenditure by seeking loans or selling bonds, he said.
He said PLN is considering bonds or loans denominated in Indonesian rupiah, U.S. dollars or Chinese yuan. (*)
