PLN?s unit to get additional gas supply

PT Indonesia Power, a unit of state electricity firm PLN said on Thursday it would gas additional gas supply for its power plants in Java late this year.
President Director Tonny Agus Mulyantono told reporters that IP will get 30MMCFD of gas from state gas distribution company PGN for its Tanjung Priok power plant in Jakarta. Another 40-60MMCFD will be supplied by Santos Limited from Oyong field in Sampang PSC offshore East Java to Grati power plant, he said.
Both supplies are currently at commissioning stage with full delivery seen by the end of this month.
IP would buy PGN?s gas for three years with price of US$5.5 per MMBTU, pGN Corporate Secretary Wahid Sutopo said. Gas would be supplied from South Sumatra through PGN?s pipeline network.
IP buys the entire gas output of Oyong field under long-term contract. (bernard)
