State-owned electricity company PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) said that gas and coal supplies for its power plants remain secured despite the current bad weather condition which has hampered land and sea transportation in various parts of the country.
?So far it (gas and coal supply) is still okay despite the bad weather condition. Gas supply from Kangean Energi Indonesia remains maximal, so fuel supply from Pertamina is secured,? Head of Fuel and Gas Division at PLN, Suryadi Mardjoeki told Petromindo.com Tuesday.
He said that PLN continues to monitor the situation.
Separately, Head of PLN?s Coal Division Helmi Najamudin said that coal stock at the company?s coal-fired power plants remains at safe level, sufficient for the next 25 days.
