PLN secures gas supply from Lampung FSRU

State electricity firm PT PLN (Persero) said on Wednesday that it has secured gas supply equivalent to two cargoes of LNG from floating terminal owned by state gas distribution firm PT PGN (Persero) Tbk in Lampung, Sumatra in 2014.
Head of Fuel Oil and Gas Procurement Division Suryai Mardjoeki told Petromindo.Com that gas will be received between July and December this year for PLN?s Muara Tawar combined cycle power plant in Bekasi, West Java.
Suryadi said the deal was only for 2014 supply and added that PLN is trying to get long-term gas supply from Lampung floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU).
According to Suryadi, gas from Lampung FSRU will be supplied to pipeline to Muara Tawar.
PGN?s Lampung FSRU is scheduled to start commercial operation this month.
