Consultancy Services For Updates of Feasibility Studies of Small Hydropower Plants in Eastern Indonesia

PT PLN (Persero) has received financing from the French Development Agency, for carrying out a Consultancy Services For Updates of Feasibility Studies of Small Hydropower Plants in Eastern Indonesia.
PLN has expressed its interest in exploring the support of AFD in developing several green-field Hydropower Projects. The number of the hydropower sites that are considered within the Program has not yet been fixed.
Several of the hydropower sites a feasibility study was completed or is on the way to be completed. PLN has contracted Indonesian companies to execute the feasibility studies. The installed capacities of the distinct hydropower projects envisage capacity ranges from 1.5 to about 7.6 MW.
The required consulting services comprise in a first stage a desk study to review the existing feasibility studies, to clarify the feasibility of the projects in a preliminary assessment, to outline a list of additional works required to update the existing feasibility studies and finally to obtain a ranking list of the preferred hydropower plants. In a second stage it is foreseen to execute the additional works of pre-selected hydropower plant sites and to update the existing feasibility studies to obtain bankable documents.
In addition: A combination of international and local expertise will be sought.
PT PLN (Persero) now invites consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
The Client will prepare a short list of about six candidates to be pre-selected on the basis of the expressions of interest received. Request for Proposals to perform the services will be sent in a second stage.
Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by July 19, 2016.
