State-owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) is seeking for an extra 2 mmscfd of gas supply from ConocoPhillips-operated Corridor Block for the 200 MW Payo Selincah gas-fired power plant in South Sumatra.
Head of Gas and Fuel Division at PLN, Suryadi Mardjoeki told Petromindo.com Wednesday that the power plant was initially supposed to get 4 mmscfd from the Corridor Block, but half of which was later allocated for state-owned gas distribution firm PGN to supply demand from industries in Medan, North Sumatra.
He added that PLN is also seeking for 5-7 mmscfd of gas supply from the Benggala field owned by PT Pertamina EP. Suryadi said that the Banggala field was expected to start flowing gas in early October.
