State-owned electricity firm PT PLN is seeking for approval from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas to get an extra standard cargo of LNG this year.

Head of Gas and Fuel Oil Division at PLN, Chairani Rachmatullah said to Petromindo.com on Wednesday that the one cargo of LNG will be sourced from the Bontang LNG plant in East Kalimantan and will be allocated for its Pesanggaran diesel and gas-fired power plant in Bali.

Chairani said that the extra LNG cargo will be an interim supply as PLN is set to get long-term supply of 30 bbtud starting end of 2017.
