PLN seeks gas supply for three power plant projects

State-owned electricity company PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) is seeking gas supply for three combined-cycle power plants that are expected to start operation in 2018 and 2019, according to a source.
The source said that PLN has sought for assurance of gas supply for the planned three power plants from upstream authority SKK Migas as the utility is responsible for the gas supply.
The three power plants, to be developed by independent power producers, include PLTGU Jawa 1, PLTGU Jawa3, PLTGU Jawa Bali 3.
According to the source, SKK Migas has allocated gas supply for power plant projects under the 35,000 MW program for the period of 2017-2030 to come from the following sources: BP Tangguh (volume 1.25 - 4.8 Mtpa), Chevron IDD Bangka field (volume 0.125 Mtpa), Eni Muara Bakau (volume 1 - 2.25 Mtpa), and other gas development projects.
The source said PLN is now seeking details on the gas supply (including price, volume, and source) to meet the requirements of the three aforementioned power plant projects as follows:
