State owned electricity company PLN is seeking business partners to jointly develop geothermal energy in Bengkulu province, Investor Daily reported on Monday.
"Bengkulu is rich with geothermal resources. But we need investors to jointly develop the energy," PLN's director for primer energy and power generation Herman Ibrahim said in Bengkulu recently.
According to him, PLN needs to find more energy alternatives such as geothermal steam to support the operation of the company's power plants in the future, including those in Bengkulu. "We need more energy alternatives for the replacement of the unrenewable gas and coal energy," he added. (*)
