PLN seeks to get gas from Cepu's Jimbaran field

State owned electricity PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) has been approaching PT Pertamina EP to get gas supplies from Tiung Biru wel, Jimbaran field, Cepu block for its Tambak Lorok power plant in Central Java.
"The talk with Pertamina EP is progress. There isn't yet any agreement," PLN's primary energy director Nur Pamudji said.
Jarwo Sawoto, Pertamina EP's commercial vice president, said aside from PLN, the firm has been approached by state owned cement producer Semen Gressik and fertilizer firm Pupuk Kujang on potential gas supplies from Tiung Biru.
"In case PLN gets the gas supplies, it will be linked to the pipeline that wiill transport gas from Gundih (well) starting in 2012. The Gundih gas is also to be delivered to Tambak Lorok," he said.
Tiung Biru is scheduled to come onstream in 2014, he said. (Bernard)
