PLN, Semen Indonesia sign MoU on power supply

The Aceh office of state-owned electricity firm PT PLN signed a MoU on Friday with state-owned cement maker PT Semen Indonesia for the supply of 50 mega volt ampere of electricity for the latter?s cement plant in Aceh that will start commercial operation in 2020.
General Manager of PLN Aceh Bob Saril said in a statement that the utility is ready to supply power to businesses in the province including Semen Indonesia as new power plants are being developed.
He pointed out as examples to the 84 MW Peusangan hydro power plant project, which is targeted to start commercial operation in 2018, and the 250 MW Arun extension power plant that will begin operation at the end of 2017.
