PLN Senior Manager for Public Relations Agung Murdifi was quoted by Bisnis Indonesia as saying Thursday that by the end of the so-called objection period, no other tender participants made objection to the result of the final round tender recently announced by PLN, which ranks the Pertamina consortium in the first place. ?There has been no objection,? Agung told the paper.
PLN announced on October 13 the Pertamina consortium as the lowest bidder in the tender for the PLTGU Jawa-1 power plant project. PLN set an objection period until October 18.
Other tender participants were consortium of Mitsubishi, Jera Power Corp, PT Rukun Raharja, and PT Pembangkit Jawa Bali; and consortium of consortium of Sembcorp Utilities, and PT Adaro Energy Tbk.
Agung, however, could not say when PLN will officially announce the Pertamina consortium as the winning bidder for the project.
He said that once the Pertamina consosrtium has been officially declared as the winning bidder, it must sign the power purchase agreement with PLN within 45 days so that the project can start commercial operation in 2019 as targeted. (*)
