PLN shortlist two bidders for Cirebon power plant

Public utility PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) has shortlisted a consortium consisting of among others Japanese firm Marubeni Corp., and India?s Essar Group as the preferred bidders for the Cirebon coal fired power project.
PLN?s spokesman Muljo Adjie said the two bidders set the price of their power at lower than PLN?s temporary offered price of 4.48 US cents per kilowatt hour (kWh).
?The winner will be officially decided in five days,? Muljo said on Monday.
The power plant to be located in Cirebon, West Java is designed with the capacity of 600 Megawatt. (Godang)
