State owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara signed on Friday cooperation agreements with 14 heads of provincial attorney offices in the provinces outside Java, Bali and Sumatra to ensure that the firm?s general managers in the provinces do not break the law in doing their jobs.
The cooperation agreements were signed in a ceremony held on Thursday in South Sulawesi?s provincial capital of Makassar, PLN said in a statement on Thursday.
The agreements were similar to the ones signed between PLN?s general managers in the provinces in Java, Bali and Sumatra and the heads of provincial attorney offices in the areas on Feb. 13, 2015, PLN said in a statement.
Under the agreements, PLN wants to ensure that its general managers will comply with the existing laws in implementing PLN?s projects, particularly the 35,000 MW power project, and as such prevent them from being accused of breaking the law in the future, the firm said.
