PLN signs contract to develop PLTMG Bangkanai

State utility PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) and a consortium of Wartsila Finland Oy and PT Pembangunan Perumahan Tbk have signed a contract to construct the gas-fired power plant (PLTMG) Bangkanai in Central Kalimantan with a generation capacity of 155 megawatt (MW).
The contract to build the gas power plant, which is located in Karendan village of Lahai district in Barito Utara regency of Central Kalimantan province, is signed by PLN President Director Nur Pamudji and PT Wartsila Finlad Oy?s Regional Director Sushil Purohit, and PT Pembangunan Perumahan Tbk Director Harry Nugroho in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The power plant is designed with capability of increasing its generation capacity up to 200 MW.
