PLN signs Gorontalo transmission contracts

State electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) inked three contracts of electricity transmission development projects worth Rp286 billion (1US$=Rp 9,260), Media Indonesia reported on Tuesday.

Director of Transmission and Distribution of PLN Herman Darnel Ibrahim said in Jakarta on Monday that the transmission networks are wholly destined to Gorontalo province and the three projects would be completed in 570 days.

The three transmissions comprise two segments, namely the 110 km-Buroko-Isimu transmission (with consortium PT Perfect Circle Engineering,CV Montana and PT Jembo Cable as contractor) and the 90 km-Isimu-Marisa (with Bukaka Teknik Utama and PT Trimulti Sarana Makmur as contractor) and Isimu electricity distribution house (with PT Baruga Asrinusa Development, PT Multi Fabrindo Gemilang and Trimulti Sarana Makmur as contractor).

?Construction of the transmission networks are targeted to be completed in 2009 but surely it will be synchronized with the completion of the construction of Gorontalo coal-fired power plant(2 x 25 MW), the Malutabo coal-fired power plant (2 x 15 MW) as well as tender for distribution to the main relay station,? he said.
