PLN signs maintenance contract with PJB

Public utility PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara?s East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan branch office signed on Tuesday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PJB) assigning the latter to carry out operating and maintenance service for PLTU Teluk Balikpapan coal fired power plant.

PJB, a subsidiary of PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), said in a statement that the service will be carried out during the Supporting Stage (Pre-COD) of the power plant project. The firm however did not provide any details regarding the power plant project.

The firm said the operation and maintenance service contract was awarded to PJB in view of the firm?s good performance in carrying out such service.
