PLN signs PPA of W. Papua biomass power plant

State-owned electricity firm PT PLN signed on Tuesday a power purchase agreement with private power firm PT Merauke Narada Energi, which is developing a 1x3.5 MW biomass power plant in Wapeko, Merauke, Papua Province.
General Manager of PLN?s Papua and West Papua Regional Office, Yohannes Sukrislismono was quoted by detik.com as saying that the electricity output will be supplied to a special economic zone in Merauke.
He did not provide further details about the agreement and the project including when it would be completed. (*)
