PLN signs PPA on solar power plant in Bali

State-owned electricity firm PT PLN signed on Wednesday a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Perusda Bukti Mukti Bhakti, a company owned by the Bali provincial administration, on a 1 MW solar power plant developed on the popular resort island.

PLN said in a statement obtained Saturday that the power plant is operated by Perusda.

PLN said that it is encouraging the development of more renewable projects in Bali to help realize the administration?s vision of turning Bali into a clean and environmental-friendly island. No further details about the project were provided.
