PLN speeds up certification of its assets

State-owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) has signed a cooperation agreement with regional level land registration offices in Central Java as a move to accelerate the certification of its assets located in the region.

The agreement was signed in Semarang on Tuesday (14/07), witnessed by representatives of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, and senior officials of the Central Java provincial government.

Director of PLN for Java, Madura, Bali Regional Business, Haryanto WS, said the cooperation is a form of commitment of PLN to safeguard, maintain and optimize all its assets in the form of land and properties.

Haryanto said as of the end of 2019, PLN owns 92,213 land plots consisting of 28,282 land plots that have been certified (30.67 percent) and 63,931 land plots that have yet to be certified (69.33 percent).

PLN targets to certify 40,878 land plots until the end 2020, which will represent 75 percent of its land assets.

The Central Java provincial government alone has issued 609 new land certificates for PLN properties so far this year.
