State-owned electricity firm PT PLN said that it has since early last month started operation a new power substation with transformer capacity of 60 MVA in Muara Tebo Regency, Jambi Province, helping to strengthen and improve electricity supply in the region.
PLN said in a statement on Monday that consumers in the regency have suffered from poor quality power supply. But with the operation of the new Muara Tebo substation, power supply will improve, avoiding sudden drop in supply.
A ceremony to mark the official operation of the new substation will be held in October in conjunction with the Muara Tebo regency anniversary.
