PLN starts PQ tender of S. Sumatra EPC, O&M power plant project

State electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) announced Monday the start of IPP pre-qualification (PQ) phasae of design, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (DEPCC) and operation, maintenance (O&M) tender to build 2 x 7 MW Palembang diesel-gas fired (PLTMG) power plant in South Sumatra.

Once completed, the power plant is expected to be able to operate for more than 15 years.

PLN?s South Sumatra, Jambi and Bengkulu unit said it was looking for experienced contractors or consortia in EPC or O&M to develop the project.

In case several companies would like to jointly develop the project, they must set up a consortium agreement signed in front of a notary with consortium leader having at least 51 percent.

Bidders should have a guarantee of gas supply througout the operational period of the power plant.

Interested bidders could obtain the document from July 20-23, 2010 at PT PLN (Persero) Wilayah Sumatra Selatan, Jambi dan Bengkulu. Jl. Kapten A. Rivai Np. 37, Palembang, Sumatra Selatan 30129. The bid documents should be submitted by July 30, 2010.(denny)
