PLN starts tender for Sumsel 9, 10 projects

State-owned electricity company PT PLN has started tender process to select contractors for the development of a combined 1,800 MW Sumsel 9 and 10 mine mouth power plant projects in South Sumatra, Kontan reported on Wednesday.
The paper quoted PLN Director Amin Subekti as saying that companies interested to participate in the tender must submit proposal by June 18.
He hoped the tender process could be completed in November of this year. The winning bidders are expected to be able to raise the required financing quickly as the projects are guaranteed by the government via PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (PII). (*)
