PLN still waiting for Gajah Baru gas

State utility firm PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) has yet to receive its part of gas allocation it is supposed to receive under a recent gas swap agreement with Premier Oil, the operator of Gajah Baru field in Natuna Sea Block A.
"The agreement has been signed, but no gas has been delivered so far," said PLN Head of Oil and Gas Fuel Division Suryadi Mardjoeki to Petromindo.com.
The deal was a part of agreements signed earlier in November, namely a swap agreement between British firm Premier Oil Natuna BV and American firm ConocoPhilips as well as gas sale and purchasing agreements between Premier and 3 firms -- PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), PLN and PT Banten Global Development (BGD).
ConocoPhillips is the operator of Corridor PSC in Sumatra. Under the swap agreement, Premier will channel gas from Gajah Baru to Singaporean firm SembGas, which is a client of ConocoPhillips.
In return, ConocoPhillips will channel gas to PGN, PLN and BGD from Corridor at the volume set in the contracts signed by Premier with the three firms. Premier agreed to channel 5 British thermal unit per day (bbtud) of gas to PLN, 10 bbtud to BGD and 25 bbtud to PGN.
