The paper quoted General Manager of PLN Lampung office, Daryono as saying that under the agreement, SGC has agreed to allow PLN to develop a 58.9 kms interconnected transmission line passing through the formers sugarcane plantation area.
Construction of the 150 kV transmission line project, which has been stalled for 10 years, is now expected to start next year, Daryono said.
He added as the transmission line would pass through sugarcane plantation area, there would be some adjustment including lowering the height of the towers to 27 meters, from the usual 30 meters high, so as to avoid disturbing airplane operating over the plantation area. (*)
