PLN terminates TPPI contract to supply HSD fuel

State electricity company PT PLN has terminated the contract of PT Trans Pacific Petrochemical Indotama (TPPI), a subsidiary of Tuban Petro Group, to supply high speed diesel (HSD) fuel to Belawan gas power plant (PLTGU).
The Head for Fuel and Gas of PLN M. Suryadi Mardjoeki said the contract was terminated after TPPI submitted a written statement, declaring its incapability to supply HSD to the Belawan power plant in north Sumatera.
He said PLN will issue formal termination letter this week.
TPPI in 2010 won a contract to supply 300,000 kiloliters of high speed diesel per year to PLN gas power plant Belawan in Sumatera up until 2014.
