PLN: Three mini gas-fired plants in Sumatra to be completed by year-end

State-owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) said three mini gas-fired power plants (PLTMGs) currently being developed in Sumatra to be completed by year end or early next year, Bisnis Indonesia reported Wednesday.

The power plants including PLTMG Duri, PLTMG Teluk Lembu and PLTMG Sei Gelam are expected to help resolve the power shortage in the island, said PLN Senior Manager for Corporate Communications.

?The (construction) of the plants is targeted to be completed end of this year or early 2014,? he said, but did not provide further details about the projects. (*)
