State electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) has planned to announce in April the value of bonds it will issue this year, its finance director Parno Isworo said Monday as reported by Bisnis Indonesia daily.

PLN was continuing to calculate the value of its bonds and would report calculation results to shareholders in its general shareholders meeting scheduled to be held before April, Parno told reporters.

Moreover, PLN is awaiting the outcome of financial audit conducted over the company.

PLN said earlier that it had planned to issue bonds of about Rp1 trillion (US$=Rp8,900) in June 2002.

It said the bond issuance partly aimed to finance the construction of a 6x100 megawatt power plant in Muara Tawar, West Java.

Parno said on Monday the Muara Tawar project requires $400 million. (*)
