PLN to build CNG-fueled power plant in Jambi

State electricity firm PT PLN (Persero) will team up with state shipbuilding firm PT PAL Indonesia to develop compressed natural gas (CNG)-fueled power plant in Jambi, Sumatra.
PLN?s Senior Manager Gas& Oil Procurement M. Suryadi Mardjoeki said that the project is currently in engineering design phase and is expected to start operations next year with capacity of 70-80 MW.
He did not give detail about investment that PLN would spend on the power plant project. (*)
