PLN to build peaker plant in S. Sulawesi

State-owned electricity firm PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) plans to soon build a 450 MW gas-fired peaker power plant in Makassar, South Sulawesi, to supply electricity during peak demand in the region.
General Manager of PLN office overseeing the South, Southeast, and West Sulawesi regions, Judi Winardi Widjaja was quoted by the local Fajar daily as saying that the company will have to first coordinate things with the South Sulawesi provincial administration before implementing the project.
