PLN to buy electricity from W. Java mini hydro plant

State-owned electricity firm PT PLN has recently signed a MoU to buy electricity from a planned 2x2 MW mini hydro power plant in Garut, West Java, to be developed by a company called Bahtera Project.
The MoU signing ceremony, held on the sidelines of the recent Indonesia Summit, was witnessed by a number of ministers including Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arcandra Tahar, Ministry of Industry Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Public Works Budi Karya Sumadi, and Minster of Tourism Arief Yahya.
The mini hydro power plant will use turbine manufactured by Indonesian company PT Hidro Turbin Indonesia (HTI). ?This project will use hydro turbine manufactured by HTI,? HTI said in a statement. No further details were provided about the planned mini hydro power plant project.
