PLN to buy power from liquid coal power plant

Public utility PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) signed on May 26, 2015 the Power Purchasing Agreement (PPA) with PT JGC Coal Fuel to buy power from the latter?s power plant pilot project in Karawang, West Java.
The power plant fuelled with liquid coal slurry (LCS) has a capacity of 1x700 kW, PLN said in a statement.
PLN said such power plant could be developed in various islands of the country to replace diesel power engines.
